Utica Community School recently issued the following announcement.
Everything is coming up roses for senior Justin Francis in his school to work program.
Francis, of Henry Ford II High School, earned the ROSE (Recognition for Outstanding Service Encounter) award for his work at Troy Beaumont in the Cardiac ICU.
The prestigious award is given to only one nursing assistant in the hospital monthly.
“Justin’s work ethic is always motiving to everyone around him,” said his nominator, Elizabeth Rodriquez, BSN, RN. “Justin constantly walks around the cardiac ICU seeking out
opportunities to help as many nurses, patients and coworkers as possible.”
Francis has earned three full-ride scholarships to University of Michigan, Wayne State University and University of Detroit Mercy.
“He has a very bright future ahead of him and is a huge asset to the Cardiac ICU,” Rodriquez said.
