Band-A-Rama 2022

All four award-winning Utica Community Schools Marching Bands will be presenting the annual Band-A-Rama at 7 p.m. on Sunday, October 9 at Runkel Field, 39701 Dodge Park Rd. Sterling Heights, MI 48313.

Band-A-Rama showcases the district’s talented high school musicians in field performances.

Ticket proceeds benefit the Louis Gonda Memorial Music Scholarship to fund opportunities for UCS band students to further their music education. Over the years, the Gonda Fund has enabled hundreds of students to attend music camps, take private lessons or otherwise enrich their music study.

Tickets are $5 for adults and high school students with junior high school and younger students having free admission. Tickets are available at the entrance and go towards music scholarships for band students.

All four high school bands - will perform their half-time shows.

(Utica) Chieftain Marching Band – Sun, Moon, and Stars

(Eisenhower) Eagle Marching Band – Colors and Hues

(Stevenson) Titan Marching Band – Return To Broadway

(Henry Ford II) Falcon Marching Band – Give and Take

They will begin the night with a combined performance of the Star Spangled Banner.

UCS bands are under the direction of Brett Bays, of Utica High School; Jonathan Carrothers, of Eisenhower High School; Matthew Schoenherr, of Henry Ford II High School; and Michael Sekich, of Stevenson High School.

Utica Community Schools continues to be honored at state and national levels for the high quality of its music program. For the eighth time, the district was selected as one of the nation’s Best Communities for Music Education by NAMM.
