Census Bureau: 72.3% of people in Elkhart County were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 206,314 citizens living in Elkhart County in 2021, 72.3% were old enough to vote, equating to 149,162 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 73,444 were male, constituting 49.2%, and 75,718 were female, making up 50.8%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Elkhart County during 2021 was lower than the state average, which stands at 76.4%.
